Chapter 11: Party Wreckers

Rating: PG-13
Characters: SHINee and fictionals
Disclaimer: I do not own the characters in the fiction.  The story is only a narrative and does not involve any real life situation.  The whole plot of the story is written originally by myself.  If there's any similarity to other fictions, it is totally a coincidence.

I wait impatiently in the living room and wondering if everything is fine out there.  I am scared and worried and I just couldn’t think positively right now.

“Is he still okay?” I ask Siwon.

“Well…I don’t feel any pain anywhere.  You can stop asking Sabrina, really,” he says.

“But, your head was aching just now,” I argue.

“That’s Jonghyun telling me he was attacked through telepathic.  It is too sudden and too strong.  So, it caused me headache,” says Siwon.  I roll my eyes, feeling defeated in the argument.

“I just want him to be here.  Then only I’ll keep quiet,” I say.

“Noona…at least, sit and calm down,” says Taemin who just regains consciousness.  I scratch my head.

“No, I just can’t Taemin.  We are all here for like a few hours already but there is still no news from him.  At least, I expect a phone call,” I say.

“Jonghyun will be fine,” says Onew.  I look at him.  He just nods, trying to convince me.  Then, I look at Hyori.  She avoids my stare and she hugs Hyun Joong.

Jiyeon takes my hand and pulls me away from the crowd.  I follow her.  We are not that far from the others, because I know they won’t allow us to be any further anyway, not during this time.  We’re still in their sights, but enough for them not to hear our conversation, except for Onew, Key and Taemin.

“Hey, Sabrina,” she starts.  I look at her, “I know how you feel although I can’t fully understand what is happening right now,” she says.  Of course, she is new to the family.  She doesn’t know what had happened a few years back then.  She doesn’t know anything and she doesn’t understand what is happening right now, she doesn’t understand why we are attacked by vampires.

“I just want him here, safely,” I say.

“I know.  You think I’m not scared when Onew was attacked?  I was scared just now when I knew he was injured.  And I am more scared when I don’t know any single thing that is happening.  I feel terrible of not knowing how to help and not even knowing what to worry,” Jiyeon says, “But, I only put my trust in Onew.  I really clueless on what’s happening but I only can put my trust in him.  I believe he can look after himself,” Jiyeon says.

“But Jonghyun is the target.  The other vampires want him dead,” I object her.

“Just trust him Sabrina,” she says.  Suddenly, someone approaches us.

“Jonghyun is coming home,” Key interrupts us, “Stop worrying.”

                “Siwon tells you?” I ask.

“I can hear him,” Key says bitterly.  Maybe all of them are already sick of me worrying about Jonghyun.  Maybe I annoy them too much with all the fuss.

I only wait for a few minutes before the front door of the mansion is opened and a vampire with unicorn’s wings flies in.  It’s Jonghyun, with his blonde hair and his fangs come out.

“Jonghyun!” I run towards him.  The moment he sees me, his face softens and his hair turns back to brown and at the same time his fangs are shortened again.  He runs to me and hugs me.

“You were attacked,” I say as the matter of fact.  He nods.

“Anything happened to you guys?” he asks.

“We’re ambushed at work,” I say, “And Taemin and Onew got hurt.”

“That’s bad.  Are you okay?” Jonghyun asks me.

“Yes, I am.  What about you?” I ask back.

“I’m good.  There were like five of them.  Luckily, I was in the end of my undercover job and I had my gun with me.  I shot all of them in their hearts.  But seriously, I never have expected them to attack like that, I mean in the human places,” Jonghyun tells all of us.

“Things are getting out of our hands,” Lee Minho says suddenly, “And we need to be more careful.”

“Yes.  Especially Jonghyun and Siwon.  They want both of you dead,” Ji Woo points that out.

“And they killed another human again.  To warn us, I think,” Sooyoung interrupts.

“We don’t know what they are going to do after this.  They might be even more violent,” Minzy says out of nowhere.

“Sure.  They are not human, so, they can really be inhuman.  You guys should know that.  I know The Chois for years.  And most of them can be very aggressive sometimes, without considering who you are,” Seunghyun warns us.  We should be careful in whatever we do.

I’ve been thinking of the possibility that Jonghyun has a very high chance to die, since he is the prey now.  I would hate myself if I can’t protect him.  I would even hate myself more if I can’t be with him.  And I would hate myself the most if I can be his wife before he dies, although that is not what I hope to become.

“Jonghyun!” I gasp as I imagine what would happen if this person, named Kim Jonghyun dies.

“What?” he asks me with concern.

“Let’s get married!” I say as I clutch his hand.

“W-what?!” he says with eyes almost out of the sockets.  The whole room is quiet right after I say that.  They are looking at me in disbelief.

                “Let’s get married!” I repeat.

“Are you sure, Sabrina?  I think you’re too shocked from what happen just now,” says Jonghyun.

                “I am sure,” I say.

                “No.  You’re joking,” he says.

“Jonghyun…I’m serious.  Before anything more serious happen, let’s get married.  I want to be you wife, your life partner,” I say.  I notice my voice cracks, but I could do nothing much about it.

                “I-I…you-”

“Jonghyun, I want you to get married with her too.  Before anything more terrible happen,” Hyori interrupts the conversation.

                “But, mo-”

“Jonghyun, I hope you can do it.  I want her as my in-law before anything happens,” Hyori leaves right after she says that.

                “Bu-”

“Jonghyun!  Just do it, okay?” Hyun Joong says gently, before he leaves too, to get Hyori.

Jonghyun sighs.  He looks at me.  I give a pleading look to him.  At least, give me the chance to love you as my husband, Jonghyun.  He looks at Key.  I notice Key is eyeing him piercingly.

                “Key, I-”

“She asked for it.  You better do so.  If not you’ll know what happen!” Key says and he leaves too, but to his room.

I look at him as he goes by.  Key looks so pissed off and Jonghyun looks guilty.  It bothers me, but I don’t manage to solve the puzzle that occurs between them.

__________

I am dressed up very well by Seraphina and Jiyeon.  It is a white, long dress and I am pretty sure I look good in it.  Perhaps Jiyeon and Seraphina did it well, or else I’ll look bad by myself.  They help me to apply very simple make-up on my face.  I don’t like the make-up where just the compact powder itself covers the skin by an inch, just not my taste.  I put my trust in natural beauty, although I don’t really have it, apparently, since I often get cuts and bruises.

“Thanks a lot, girls,” I thank them, for being with me although it is a very last minute wedding preparation.

Two weeks ago, I demanded to get married as soon as possible, right after Jonghyun came home after the attack aimed at all of us.  I can get why Taemin thinks I might be crazy or how HyunA thinks I am a bit desperate, because I am.  People just don’t understand my feeling in which I am very scared of do not be Jonghyun’s spouse in my life.  At least, if something really happens after this, although I very much don’t pray for it, I will feel satisfied with my life as I manage to do what I should.  If not, I might just as well be reincarnated to live with Jonghyun in my next life, although I do not really believe in reincarnation as well.

“No problem.  Now, you take this flower with you,” Jiyeon gives me a bouquet of red roses, “And walk confidently to the priest,” says Jiyeon.

“Yeah, unnie fighting!  Don’t be nervous, okay?” Seraphina is encouraging me.  I nod.

It is a typical garden wedding and since it is spring now, it is very easy to get flowers everywhere and it is evident through the whole lot of flowers decorating the wedding place.  I am happy, especially most of the flowers are the red roses, which are my favourite flowers.

I walk to the place where all the guests are seated.  Minho and Taemin managed to invite a few of our close friends and those who are important to come to witness the most historic day in my life.  Friends, teachers and colleagues fill up the seat to evidence everything that happens today.  Siwon is already waiting for me at the entrance.

“You look gorgeous, dear,” Siwon goes.

“Thanks,” I say and I could imagine my cheeks get red from the compliment.  It just doesn’t sound so right on a wedding day, for me.

My wedding with Jonghyun is not as grand as Onew’s was, but it is enough for me as long as our soul is combined together, to treasure each other for the rest of our life.  I don’t demand for it to be that grand, since it is a very last minute one, and I swear if it is not because of them, no wedding planner would want to accept the job.  Thanks to Hyori especially, for arranging everything, since she is the one who anticipates it so much.  I just freaking love her.  The wedding is very a very cliché one, with guest attending it and stuff.  However, I know Jonghyun just did something very special to it, something for me to at least remember, the roses that are lining up pathway towards the stage.  I know he is the one that did it.  No other would do it.

“Are you ready for the vows?” Siwon asks me.  I nod.  I am too nervous to say anything anyway.  Siwon offers his hand and I take it.  Soon, we start walking together with the music escorting our way to the priest.

I see him.  I see Kim Jonghyun waiting at the other end with the priest.  He looks very smart and handsome in his all-white tuxedo.  He is smiling at me very wide.  I smile back.  Then, he mouths something.  I thank my years-of-training-as-agent because I can read his lips.  ‘You have a father’, that is what he says.  I smile wider.

When Onew was getting married, I was pretty much jealous of Jiyeon when I saw her walking hand in hand with her father to the priest.  I wonder how my wedding is going to be at that time.  Now, I very much appreciate a person who is my godfather.  His presence is apparently enough for me.  I swear I don’t want to lose him.

After a not-so-long walk, I reach the priest and Jonghyun.  Siwon smiles at me before hands me in to Jonghyun.  I could see single tears of happiness strolling down his left cheek.  I just smile to him.  Then, I look at Jonghyun.  He holds me tight and I feel so much protected.  I know I have chosen the right guy for me.  He brings me right in front the priest.  The priest smiles to us.  I am very grateful that everyone is happy on our wedding day.  Then, he starts to give a short preach, or whatever people call that.

“Are both, the bride and groom ready for the vows?” asks the priest, when he is done preaching.  Jonghyun nods.  I nod.

“Will you, Kim Jonghyun, take the bride, Sabrina Kwon, as your wife?” the priest starts to ask.  I see Jonghyun takes a deep breath.  I know he is just as nervous as me, and that makes me really want to laugh, except that I’m in front of the priest right now, and waiting for two souls to become one.

“I, Kim Jonghyun, take you, Sabrina Kwon, to be my lawfully wedded wife, my constant friend, my faithful partner, and my love from this day forward.  In the presence of God, our family and friends, I offer you my solemn vow to be your faithful partner for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad, and in joy as well as in sorrow.  I promise to love you unconditionally, to support you in your goals, to honour and respect you, to laugh with you and cry with you, and to cherish you as long as we both shall live, until death do us part.”

I try to hide my small flinch at the word ‘death’.  I will love him more and cherish him, even if he is dead.  I really will.

“Then, will you, Sabrina Kwon, take the groom, Kim Jonghyun, as your husband?” the priest asks.

I take a very deep breath before I proceed with my vow.  I feel heavy on my shoulder suddenly, perhaps because of the responsibility that I need to carry after this, but I am willing to do so.  I am more than willing to do whatever for a guy named Kim Jonghyun.

“I, Sabrina Kwon, take you, Kim Jonghyun, to be my lawfully wedded husband, my constant friend, my faithful partner, and my love from this day forward.  In the presence of God, our family and friends, I offer you my solemn vow to be your faithful partner for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad, and in joy as well as in sorrow.  I promise to love you unconditionally, to support you in your goals, to honour and respect you, to laugh with you and cry with you, and cherish you as long as we both shall live, until death do us part,” I mean every words in my vows.

“Any objection to the marriage?” the priest now asks the witnesses.  I am scared for his, if any of the audience objects this marriage.  I look around.  I can see my teachers, friends, colleagues, all of them are smiling.  Hyori is smiling with tears staining her cheeks while Hyun Joong stays beside her, best consoling her that way.  Siwon is smiling too, very genuine, like a father always does.  The three crazy-but-fine friends, HyunA, Minzy and Uee are busy taking photos with very bright smiles.  My sister is crying, but I know they are tears of happiness on her cheeks.  Onew is with Jiyeon, both are smiling at me.  Minho and Sooyoung are smiling so bright that it looks like they want to get married right after this.  Taemin is glowing as well, and he is patting my sister’s back.  Lee Minho, So Eun, Jiwoo and Seunghyun are the calmest one, smiling and feeling happy.  Look likes no one wants to object, and I am relieved.  Wait, where’s Key?

“Then I shall announce Kim Jonghyun and Sabrina Kwon are now husband and wife,” the priest announces happily, brings me back to him.  We are husband and wife?  Already?  I am reeling.  I hear the crowds cheer.  Jonghyun pulls me closer and plants a kiss on my forehead.  At that time, tears of happiness roll down my cheeks.

The crowd stands up and congratulates us one by one.

“Congratulation!  You guys make a good husband and wife!” Young Bae says.  He gives us a box of chocolate, as our wedding present.

                “Thanks, Young Bae,” Jonghyun says.

“Don’t thank me.  You should thank your wife for accepting you as her husband.  Be grateful!” Young Bae says before he leaves us.  Jonghyun looks at me and smiles.

“Thank you, Sabrina,” he says and gives a peck on my cheeks.  I flush red.

“Errr…thanks too,” I say back.  It is almost awkward between Jonghyun and I, if it is not because of Leeteuk who suddenly comes out of nowhere.

“Well, hello there!  I know today is so gonna happen.  I know that you guys will be bonded one day.  And today, God just answers me.  Congratulation!” Leeteuk says joyfully.  I laugh, feeling embarrassed.

“Thank you Mr. Park,” I say.

“By the way, where is Ms. Shin?  I saw her just now,” Jonghyun asks.

“She’s with your mom, Hyori,” Leeteuk tells us while giving Jonghyun a box neatly wrapped with a pink wrapper.

“Thanks for coming Mr. Park, although it is quite last minute.  This girl just can’t wait to get married,” Jonghyun says.

“Yah!” I shout.  This is embarrassing.

“Don’t worry, girl.  I am sure Jonghyun is just the same,” Leeteuk says.  Then, all of us laugh.

“Congratulation, both of you!” Ms. Shin stops our laugh.

“Looks like your favourite teacher is here.  I shall make my way for food,” Leeteuk says and leaves.

“Thanks a lot Ms. Shin,” both of us say synchronously.

“I am happy for both of you.  Finally, the day comes,” Ms Shin gives us her sweetest smile.

                “Thanks for coming,” I say.

“Sure.  This is for both of you,” she gives us a neatly-wrapped-in-white-wrapper-with-wedding-wishes present to us.  Jonghyun takes it and thanks her again.

“There’s nothing much from me, but congratulation,” Ms Shin says again.  I bow to her as sign of respect and she leaves.

“Hey, guys!  Congrats!” Kyuhyun suddenly jumps in front of us.

“Thanks, hyung!” Jonghyun says.  Kyuhyun immediately pulls him into a hug.

“I know this day would come!  Take care of her okay?  You smart people,” Kyuhyun says, and he let go of Jonghyun.

“And this is for you,” he gives me something.  I take it.  It is a small hamper of, what?  Baby products?

“W-what is this?  Oh my god!  This is too early,” I say.  Kyuhyun laughs.  Jonghyun smiles embarrassingly to that.

“Hyung, seriously.  You don’t expect me to make it that early, right?” asks Jonghyun.  Kyuhyun laughs louder.

“Early preparation is important,” he says and leaves.  I look at Jonghyun and he scratches the back of his head.

“He is funny, right?” Jonghyun says.  I nod.  I could see Jonghyun flushes very red.  I laugh.

“Yah!  Do you need to show that you are embarrassed?” I ask him.  He is getting even redder after I say that.

We receive even more congratulation after that, and a lot of wedding presents.  I swear this is the happiest day of life.  When the guests already leave late in the evening, then only I see Key.

“Hey, Key!” I call him.  I walk to him, pulling Jonghyun around.

“Hey, Sabrina, hyung!  Congratulation!” he goes.

“Why I didn’t see you the whole day of our wedding?” I ask him.  Jonghyun just keeps quiet beside me.

“I was here all the time.  Attending the guests,” Key says.

“Where were you during the vows?  I didn’t see you there,” I ask him.

“Oh…nature called me that time,” Key says.  I nod.

“By the way, I got this for both of you,” Key says, while giving Jonghyun a box, containing two Rolex watches.  They are couple watches.

“Wow!  Key!  This is awesome,” I look at my watch as Jonghyun gives me the watch.  He wears another one, for man.

“Help her to wear it, Key,” Jonghyun instructs Key to do it.  Key hesitates at first, but Jonghyun nods to him, making him to agree.  He helps to tighten the watch around my wrist.

“Hey, guys.  Let’s get inside.  It is getting colder outside,” Siwon says.  When we are about to go inside, suddenly the wind blows very hard and violent it almost knock me down.  Then only I realize that we are surrounded by ten vampires with their fangs revealed, ready to fight.

Jonghyun changes first, while Key quickly stands in front of me, blocking me from any possible attacks.  I see Jonghyun flies to them and I have no idea where his silver sword comes from.  The others are running outside the house too.  Onew, Minho and Taemin come to rescue, and Key is pulling me to one side.

“Stay here!” he says and he changes.  He flies towards the other vampires.

I can do nothing much with my wedding dress still on my body, it is limiting my movement.  But, I am not stupid.  I have my gun tied around my thigh, under my dress.  I take it out and ready to fire any vampires who wants to kill my loved ones.

Jonghyun and Siwon get the most attack.  They must be aiming one of them.  A vampire suddenly catches Jonghyun and pins him on the ground.  He is ready to stab Jonghyun right into the heart with his poisoning knife.  I am about to fire the vampire when I hear Siwon’s scream.

He is also caught and is ready for his head to be slaughtered.  I definitely cannot lose Siwon.  Forgetting Jonghyun, I shoot the vampire in his chest, but unfortunately not straight to his chest.  The vampire is enraged, and flies to me at a very high speed.  Just in a few seconds, I don’t feel the ground under my feet and soon after that, I feel my back hit the wall at a very high momentum.  My whole body feels hurt and I am pretty sure I have broken bones.

My breathing is getting heavier.  My vision gets very blurry.  I could see someone approaching me.  It might be the vicious vampire, or maybe Jonghyun or Key.

“Sabrina!” I hear a voice calling me and soon after that my vision gets black.
