A Camera, A Laptop and A USB Flash Drive

Description: The guy was a prospective journalist who wanted his articles and pictures speak the truth, while the girl was a physicist who thinks.
Rating: G
Characters: Choi Siwon and Fictional Character
Disclaimer: I do not own the characters in the fiction.  The story is only a narrative and does not involve any real life situation.  The whole plot of the story is written originally by myself.  If there's any similarity to other fictions, it is totally a coincidence.

She looked at the photos in the digital camera.  Dragonflies, a red car, a mechanical pencil, tulips, animals, plants, stuffs, animals again and the cycle repeated by itself.  She often wondered why this guy likes to take such pictures.  He was just weird.  She pressed and pressed the button again until it ended up at the dragonflies again.
“Do you know they were so big during the Mesozoic Era?” he asked.
“What?” she asked back.
“Dragonflies.  They were big during the Dinosaur Times,” he replied.
“How big?” she asked again.
“As big as peacocks,” he said while taking the camera from her.  He smiled while looking at the photo he captured by himself.
“Oh, I don’t believe you,” Ety rolled her eyes and lied on her back.  She closed her eyes and pretended to ignore him.
No answer from him.  Just a plain silence.  The only thing that can be heard was the crackling of the fire.  She thought Siwon had left her, but she heard his voice again.
“You should read more, you know,” he said.
She opened her eyes to that statement and quickly, she pushed herself into a sitting position.  She looked at him, who was scribbling something in his notepad.
“Are you implying I am lazy to read?” she asked, feeling so annoyed that someone so close to her saying such things.
“No.  I only asked you to read more,” he coolly said, while smiling at his note.  Weird, just weird and getting weirder.
“I read enough,” she said, rolling her eyes to express how she felt very annoyed.  A silence followed, but not for long.
“You don’t know that dragonflies were big in Triassic,” he replied, as if he didn’t know at all that his friend was shooting a glare at him.
“Siwon, by not knowing that, does not me a person who is lazy to read.  That was a bad hypothesis,” she said.
“Alright,” he shrugged it off.
She sighed.  This guy was always like that.  He didn’t like to prolong any argument.  He once said that too long will involve hard feelings, and that was the last thing he ever wanted to happen.  But, she hated silence.  She threw more woods into the fire.
“What are we going to do tomorrow?” she asked him.
“Explore more,” he said.
“Siwon, we are in the middle of the jungle.  What is there to explore?  Less Physics, less Mathematics.  No civilization. Nothing much.  I don’t even know why I want to come with you in the first place,” she said.
“I just want to capture a photo of a snake.  I promise you we will get out of here once I get the photo of it,” Siwon replied while scribbling more and more notes.
“Stop being weird,” she said.
That managed to freeze him.  He stopped writing.  He looked up, into her eyes.  There was no smile, but no evidence that he was hurt by her word either.  He was just expressionless.
“I am doing this for the Media and Journalism Club,” he said while putting down his pencil.  He took a jacket and put in on her, “You must be cold,” he said.
“Thank you,” she replied, “You’re always obsessed with your Club,” she said.
“It is one way of revealing the world to people,” he said.
“Revealing?”
“Yes.  Our world is getting less transparent day by day.  I hope my writing and my pictures will become the tongue for truth, to speak up for it,” said Siwon.
“Why need words and pictures when you can say it out?” she asked.
“Oftentimes, words from mouth can be too offensive.  Trust me Ety, you can even end up in a prison.  But, through books, they are oftentimes more approachable.  Although, sometimes people can ban such books that speak up the truth, they will somehow be delivered to people.  It will get through,” he said and smiled.
“You are thinking too much,” she said.

They were in the park.  She was reading her Physics book while lying down on a bench while he was busy taking photo of a family having a picnic.  She puffed up her cheeks and closed her book.  She saw him smiling at his own photo.
“Can I look at them?” she asked.
He nodded to her and gave her that digital camera.  The SONY Cyber-shot DSC-WX1, not so much of a camera, but he had done a lot of amazing things with it.
“Man, you need a new camera.  Try to get a DSLR,” she commented.
“I am a student and have no income.  I’ll get one once I work.  Besides, this camera does wonders.  I don’t have a DSLR, but I can still show the world my photos.  I might not have a Macbook but I can still type something that can educate the people,” he said.
“Why do you have to be so logic, Siwon?” she said while looking through the photos.  She froze at a picture of a mother feeding a baby.
“Lovely, isn’t it?” he asked.
She nodded and stared at it, this time longer.  She might not be able understand this guy until the very end of his life or her life, but she understood the photo.
“It speaks a thousand words,” she said, still staring at the photo.
“I know.  Rather than going around try to convince people about mother’s love, a photo and a caption are enough to explain everything,” he told her while taking back the camera.
She looked at him, thinking of what he had been telling her all this while.  All their conversations and all their arguments, explained a lot of things.  Suddenly, she sensed a flash and he laughed.
“And this photo explains that my friend is thinking,” he laughed.

“Open up,” she said.
It was Siwon’s birthday and she gave him a big present, something that she thought will be able to help him with his ambition.  Siwon stared at the box and he looked at her.  She nodded vigorously, as a sign that he should open the box.
He carefully untied the ribbon.  Then, he looked at her again and smiled.  He opened the box, revealing a Nikon DSLR.  His smile got wider and that smile revealed lines of white teeth, which expressed happiness in him.
“Seriously?” he asked.
“Yes,” she nodded.
“Thank you, Ety.  Really, thanks,” he said.
“Hope you like it,” she said.
“Are you kidding me?  Of course, I like it,” he said while carefully looking at the new camera in his hand.
“Now, you can go for a job interview.  Be a good journalist,” she encouraged him.
“Nah…I don’t think of going to any publishing company,” he said.
“Why?”
“I want to be an independent journalist.  Self-publishing my articles.  That works better in this world,” he said.
“How?” another question from her.
“There will be restriction under publishing company.  You know, government controlling stuffs.  In the end, there will be biasness, false information.  My aim is to speak up the truth, remember?” he asked.
“But, how will that help you to survive your life.  No income?” she asked.
“That is how people nowadays think.  We are the one that make money everything.  Truthfully, money is not everything, Ety,” he replied.
The more she talked to him, the more she knew about him.  But, what she didn’t know was that might be their last conversation.

It had been three years since then, and she was still in the same university, pushing her brain to its maximum capacity.  Formulas, numbers, theories, those were the things she played with each day.  That was the price she needs to pay in achieving her ambition, to be a theoretical physicist.  Less social life and the only books she read were related to the field she was taking, if people know what she means.
Perhaps Siwon was right, she should read more, not only Physics books but also other stuffs.  She knew how things work in Physics but not how people think.  Perhaps other people were just as same as her, because the people were too ignorant.  She was living in a society where each people think he or she is right one, while the others are wrong.
She sighed.  She signed in to Gmail, waiting for at least an email from him.  But, none.  For three years, nothing from him.  No news, he just disappeared.
An email came in.  It was from the school’s mail service.  It was stated that she received a parcel.  She had not remembered if she did any online shopping recently.  Not even her birthday for people to give any present.
Curious, she quickly went to the Mail’s Office to collect her parcel.  She gave her ID number and collected the parcel.  It was very small and light.  She tore off the wrapper and found only a small, 16-gigabyte USB flash drive.  That was weird, and the only person she knew will do such weird thing was only Siwon.
She ran to her room and quickly inserted the USB flash drive into its port.  Indeed, the USB’s name was Siwon.  She found out a lot of files.  There were photos and captions and some were articles, in the form of formal reports, perfect with date.  That guy had even arranged all those photos according to date.
She went through every single photo from the earlier date to the latest.  Photos of plants, animals, families, animals, stuffs, plants, couples, stuffs, people killing people, genocide, war, war, war, war, war… it continued until the last file, dated a year ago, in Libya.  Those photos were getting less humane day by day.  She read all the reports.  They were just the same, ended up with some reports on war, with the latest dated a year ago, in Libya.  But, they were different from the news that she read.  These went a lot deeper, revealing things that were not revealed to the world.
She held her head.  That weird guy went to such place to find out the truth, and his articles ended up unpublished.  Those pictures and reports were the tongue of truth, but left unspoken.  She wondered why the latest date of those files was a year ago and then no more.  She even wondered if he was still alive.  She also wondered why the USB flash drive only reached her that day.
She asked herself, “Shall I make these things speak?”

The New Beginning (Final)

Rating: PG-13
Characters: SHINee and fictionals
Disclaimer: I do not own the characters in the fiction.  The story is only a narrative and does not involve any real life situation.  The whole plot of the story is written originally by myself.  If there's any similarity to other fictions, it is totally a coincidence.

That boy, a normal human, runs happily beside the lake, without knowing that it was once a bloody site.  Not that I am going to feed him that information.  But the reflection of the red, autumn leaves on the lake, remind me a lot of that time.  The time when I was in a bad state, when we were in a very bad state.  The fight will last forever in my mind, but that boy shouldn’t know how horrible it was.  That little boy shouldn’t know how horrible it was when his father was confirmed dead.  But, that was all passed, long ago.  And the promise is made, it will never ever happen again.
I don’t hope my life will be like a fairytale, ‘living happily ever after’ kind of stuff.  Life is impossible to be all excited and happy, but, this is the life that I want, peaceful and harmonious.  At least, it is peaceful, without fight, killing and those stuffs you couldn’t imagine living in.  Peaceful and harmonious, we deserve this life after those things happened.
We’re at the front yard, having a sort of party it seems.  Jiyeon and Jinki with their cute little adopted baby, are having a good time together.  It seems like Jinki doesn’t want to turn his wife into a vampire.  He doesn’t want to kill Jiyeon by making her carry a vampire child as well.  So, that is it.  Adoption is the best.
Hyun Joong and Hyori are talking to some guests who have made an early arrival to this party.  They look happy.  Being grandparents to the boy change their lives a lot.  They try to act like oldies oftentimes, but they remain as young as ever, because of the Serum of Immortality.  I can’t imagine I will look older than them in a few years.
Taemin and Seraphina are arranging the candles on the cake, looking so good together.  I brought my own sister to this life.  Seraphina talked to me about being a vampire, so that she could be with Taemin and have their own children.  I have nothing against the idea, but I will miss the human in her if she really decides to do that.
The newlywed, Minho and Sooyoung are having the dining tables ready.  Looking at them remind me of twin towers, they are just so tall.  Minho helps Sooyoung, whose arm is injured, after being shot in a mission a few days ago.
“You don’t need to do this.  Just let me do all.  You need your rest,” Minho says.  But, Sooyoung is just as stubborn.  She is strong girl though, so she is.
The others: Ji Woo, Lee Minho, So Eun, Seunghyun, Ji Eun, and the trio, Minji, HyunA, and Uee are getting the food ready.  Seeing smiles on their faces make me happy.
But, I would be happier if Jonghyun were here.  I would be happier if Jonghyun were with us.  I would be happier if Jonghyun were here for our son’s fourth birthday.
But, he is not.
“Hey,” Key walks to me, with a wrapped present in his hand.
“Hey,” I reply.
“The party will start very soon.  The guests keep coming.  You might want to smile and cheer up a bit,” he says.
“I wish I could,” I say.
“Sabrina…”
“It has been three years my son celebrates his birthday without his dad.  This year, it would be the fourth,” I say, a bit pissed off.
“We don’t have a choice, do we?” asks Key.
“I guess not,” I say.
“Then, let’s go.  Joong Chan is waiting for you to cut the cake together,” Key says.
I nod and go to the big table, where Joong Chan is ready with his pointed birthday hat.  He is so cute.  I just hope he won’t be as short as his dad.
We sing a birthday song for him and we clap our hands.  Soon, I help him cutting the cake right after he makes a wish.
“What is your wish, Joong Chan?” asks Minji.  My little boy looks at her.
“Same as last year,” he says, with cute accent, barely understandable.
“Awww…you wish your dad will be with you on your birthday?” Minho asks.  Joong Chan nods.
It pierces my heart, so painfully.  Ever since Joong Chan could think and speak, it will always be about his dad.  It will always be about Jonghyun.  Not that I am jealous he doesn’t think of me, no.  It is just that we could not fulfil his birthday wish.  I kiss him in his cheek.
“Your dad will always be proud of you,” I say.  He smiles, showing lines of small teeth.
“I want to eat cake,” Joong Chan tells me.  I laugh.
“Yeah, it is about time,” I say.  I cut the large cake into pieces and give it to the guests.  Seraphina helps me with it.  Joong Chan eats his part happily.
“Eat and grow tall kid.  You don’t want to be like your father in terms of height,” says Taemin while spoon the cake into my son’s mouth.  He eats, unable to understand what Taemin means by that.
“Now, this is my present for you.  I am a good uncle, am I not?” Taemin says while giving a toy gun to him.
“And this is from me,” Seraphina says while giving him a set of spy gear for kids, “I just thought you might want to be like your parents,” she says.  He doesn’t understand of course, but takes the toy happily.
“Now you are a perfect, handsome mini spy,” says Taemin.  Joong Chan smiles.
“Enough of violence, Taemin,” says Jinki.
“Joong Chan-ah, I have a better present for you,” Jinki gives a set of children story books, “Be smart like me when you are older,” he says.
“That’s vain,” says Jiyeon, “Smart like you?  Joong Chan, I have a Barney for you,” Jiyeon gives a large Barney stuffed toys to him.  Joong Chan looks at it and he smiles wider.
“Told you he will like mine,” says Jiyeon to her husband.
“Nah…Joong Chan.  Here, Uncle Key gives you the best present after all.  A set of cowboy suit.  How is it? You like it?  The hat is cool,” says Key, while taking off the birthday hat and replacing it with the cowboy hat.  Joong Chan takes it off and replaces it back with the birthday hat.
“Hahaha! You are rejected by both the mother and the son, Key,” HyunA cracks a joke.  Now, that’s embarrassing.
“Bad joke, HyunA.  Bad joke,” says Key while shaking his head, trying to get rid of the awkwardness between us.  The others are laughing.
“Jiyeon, hold the baby, please.  I need to go to the bathroom for a while,” says Jinki.   Jiyeon takes their baby from him.
The trio starts to introduce their weird presents to Joong Chan, but every year, Joong Chan seems to like their presents so much.  I don’t mind at all.  I just hope that my son won’t be as weird as them.
Suddenly, a car arrives.  Might be another guest, since I have never seen the car before.  A guy comes out from the car and walks towards us, with a present in his hand.  That looks like a big box.
“I am here by invitation from Mr. Lee Jinki,” he says politely.
“Oh, yeah.  You’re his friend?” I ask.
“Oh, yes.  A good friend,” he says.
“I’m sorry he is in the bathroom.  But, you can sit down and have a piece of cake while waiting for him,” I say.
“No, it’s okay.  I’m in a rush.  I just want to wish the birthday boy and give this present to him,” he says.
“Oh.  Alright.  Joong Chan, come here,” I say.  Joong Chan runs to me.  I hold his hand and take him nearer to the guy.
“This is Uncle Jinki’s friend.  He comes to wish you a happy birthday,” I say.  Joong Chan turns to look at him.  The unknown guys crouches down to the same level as Joong Chan.
“Right.  Kim Joong Chan, happy birthday,” he gives the wrapped box to him.  Joong Chan holds it tightly.  That box might be a little heavy for him.
“You are a very healthy and strong boy.  Your dad will be very proud of you,” he says.  That guy hugs my son and after a while he let go and kisses him on his cheek.  He seems very fond of my son, like they have a connection.  I start to become suspicious.  The guy stands up before I even try to examine him.
“I guess I have to go now,” he says and smiles at me.  I nod.  Somehow, I know this guy.  I really know him.
He walks to his car.  I still look at him, try to confirm his identity.  I know him, really.  His eyes are familiar.  His way of walking, speaking, they are so familiar.
“Who is that, Sabrina?” Jinki appears out of nowhere and asks.
“Well, I thought you know him.  He said he came by your invitation.  He said he is a good friend of yours,” I say.
“I…really don’t know anybody look like him,” he says.
I look back at that guy, who almost reaches his car.  This is weird.  I know him, definitely.  He seems to have this connection to my boy.  His way of walking, his way of speaking, his height…wait…his height?  That is Jonghyun’s height.
I take out a phone from my pocket.  A phone that Jonghyun gave me just before he went to an undercover mission a week ago.
“This phone…I’ve secured the line.  I have the same phone.  It is a private number and nobody can trace the call.  I can assure you that.  Call me if you need to do so,” I could still remember what he said when he gave me the phone a week ago.
I quickly press the speed dial and the line is connected very quickly.  I look at the unknown guy again.  He is taking out his phone from his pocket.  He presses a button on the phone and just then I could hear his voice again, in my earpiece.
“Yes?” he answers.  I swear I saw he smirks at me just before he gets into his car.
“Jonghyun, is that you?” I ask through the phone.
“Take quite a while for you to notice me,” he says.
“You’re in disguise.  Even your voice is different,” I say, defending myself for not knowing my own stupid husband.
“I am still on my mission.  Cannot have my cover blown and put my family in danger,” he says.
“Damn you, Jonghyun.  You could just tell me,” I say.
“You’re cussing in front of our kid?” he asks back.  I roll my eyes.
“Your mission is not yet over.  And you’re wasting your time by coming here,” I say.
“Well…I can’t miss my son’s birthday every year just because of stupid undercover missions.  I seriously will kill Jinki for sending me to a mission every time it is my son’s birthday,” he says.  I laugh.
“Well, you say you are the agency’s best agent.  So be it,” I say.
“Best agent cannot have time with family?” he asks me.  I laugh.
“Well, you are the so-called country’s first line of defence.  I guess your wife and your son just have to bear with it,” I say.  He laughs.
“I just need to finish this, alright?  It is almost over.  I’ll be back in two days at most.  I expect you’ll be waiting for me?” he asks me.
“You wish. I will be with Joong Chan.  You don’t have to go back,” I joke.  He laughs.
“I’ll see you again.  Tell Joong Chan I am really proud of him,” he says and we hang up.  The car moves and leaves the yard right after.
“So, that short guy is Jonghyun?” asks Jinki.
“Yeah. And he says he will kill you right after he comes back.  That is the price you have to pay for sending him on an undercover mission every time it is Joong Chan’s birthday,” I say.
“Whoa!  I better be ready for that,” he says.
“You better be,” I say.
“Mommy, open this,” Joong Chan says while trying to tear the wrapper off.
Jinki and I quickly help him with it.  We open the box and we see 4 books in it.  They are entitled ‘A Whole New World’ and there are photos of Joong Chan growing up in those books.
“Oh my God. This guy is really hopelessly romantic and cheesy,” Jinki says while laughing.
“Mommy, it is me, daddy and you,” Joong Chan points to a photo in the book.
“Yes, my son.  You dad is really proud of you,” I say.
It is a perfect moment.  Like I say, I don’t really believe in a fairytale’s happily-ever-after style, but, we deserve to be happy sometimes.

Now Everyone Can Fly

Description: Sung Rin meets Kim Myung Soo thousands feet above the ground.  And she gets his number.
Rating: G
Characters: Kim Myung Soo (Infinite)
Disclaimer: I do not own the characters in the fiction.  The story is only a narrative and does not involve any real life situation.  The whole plot of the story is written originally by myself.  If there's any similarity to other fictions, it is totally a coincidence.

“No, daddy.  Please, no.  I don’t want to bring him along.  He’s sulky, whiny and not to forget, ugly,” Sung Rin goes.
“Hey, watch your mouth, okay?  I’m more handsome than SHINee, at least,” says her brother.
“Oh, really?  Because from my observation, the orang utan in Borneo is more handsome than you!” she says, becomes even more sensitive when her ‘little’ brother uses SHINee for comparison.
“Sung Rin!  Joong Chan!  Shut up!  Both of you are going, okay?  Sung Rin, you are going to take him along to Malaysia.  He is having school holiday as well.  I don’t see why you can’t take him with you.  If he’s not going, than you’re not as well,” her dad threatens.  She looks at her mom for a little help, but her mom just nods, agreeing with her dad’s opinion.
“You cannot do that to me.  Just because both of you want to go for an oldie’s date at Bali, you can’t just make him go with me.  It is so unfair!” she protests.
“My decision is final, Sung Rin.  Choose whether you want to go with him or you are not going at all.  That’s it,” her daddy ends their argument.
“Oh my God!  My life is so doomed.  It’s all your fault Joong Chan, my holiday in Malaysia is ruined before I even go,” she says.  Joong Chan just makes a face very innocent like he doesn’t do anything wrong and Sung Rin feels like kicking him right into his ball.

“Oh, you’re lucky you take me along with you.  If not, nobody wants to help you with your luggage.  Oh, hell!  This is so heavy.  What do you bring inside this bag?” says Joong Chan.
“Um…weapon?  A bazooka to kill you, baby,” says her sarcastically.
“My dear sister, you don’t dare to do it.  You won’t pass the security.”
“I can kill you now and go to Malaysia alone.  It will be better, will it not, my dear Joong Chan?”
“Try me, sis,” he says.
Sung Rin rolls her eyes and continue walking.  They check-in for flight D70506, AirAsia X from Seoul to Kuala Lumpur.  Then, Joong Chan helps to load their luggage.  They wait until they are called for the flight together at the waiting bay.  Joong Chan quickly takes out his headphone and listens to SHINee.  Sung Rin thinks about doing the same thing, but then her eyes catch a figure very slim, tall and handsome, ideal for her type.
That guy is wearing fully black attire with a few red here and there in on it.  He’s pulling his luggage with his right hand.  Walking beside him is another guy dressing up exactly like him and two ladies with red and white attire.  Those are apparently their uniforms.  Walking behind their group is another group of three people with white crisp shirt and black slack.  They are looking so smart.
“Yo, sis!  Got an eye on the handsome steward?” Joong Chan surprises her.
“What?  What steward?  Who?” she is completely shocked by that.
“That guy?” he points towards the guy dressed up in black, her ideal type.
“No, I don’t,” she plays innocent.
“Oh, because you were looking at him without your eyes blinking, like…you know, completely amazed by his handsomeness,” says his brother.
“Oh, shut up, Joong Chan!” she covers her ears with her headphone.  While searching for a song to hear, she hears Joong Chan’s tease.
“Let us just pray that he will be the crew of our flight later.  You know, he’s wearing AirAsia’s uniform,” Joong Chan smirks.

Sung Rin doesn’t know whether she should thank Joong Chan or should she kick him out of the flight.  Here, right a few feet in front of her in the handsome steward, helping people to their seats on the flight.  Her heart flatters but at the same time she is afraid she will faint due to nervousness.
“Hey, sis!  Move.  I know you are completely dazed by him, but people behind us need to get to their seats as well,” Joong Chan does it again.
“You better shut up, Joong Chan.  You know that I can kill you here,” she says while helping herself to her seat.  Joong Chan shares the pair of seats with her.
“I know you won’t do it.  You want to look good in front of him,” says him.
“Well, try me,” says Sung Rin.
She quickly covers her ears with her headphone, avoiding any word coming from his naughty brother.  It is true, she likes the handsome steward and she wants to look good in front of him.  But, she would prefer having him to serve only her on this flight.  Joong Chan’s words would only cause embarrassment to her, because if the steward knows about it, she is sure as hell that he will try to avoid her.
“His name is Kim Myung Soo,” her brother pulls down her headphone and whispers softly to her ear.
“What?  Who?”
“Who else?  My future brother-in-law,” Joong Chan makes a good tease out of it.  She quickly understands that he is talking about the name of the steward.
“Not again, Joong Chan,” she warns him, but at the same time really want to thank him for the precious information.  Kim Myung Soo, nice name, handsome, gentle, everything about him makes she trembles.
There’s an announcement made by a flight attendant, but Sung Rin couldn’t care less.  She increases the volume of her mp3 and closes her eyes, listening to Big Bang’s songs with her heart.  The most important thing to her now is to avoid listening to Joong Chan and cause embarrassment to herself.
“Miss?” she could hear someone calling, but she assumes it must be for other person.
“Miss?” again, and now she opens her eyes, just in case, the call is for her.  And indeed, the call is for her.  But, what most surprising is that Kim Myung Soo is staring right into her eyes and smiles.
“I’m sorry, miss.  Could you please switch off your electronics for a while?  We have to avoid any kind of disturbance when the plane is taking off,” he says very gently.
“Oh, yes.  I’m so sorry.  I didn’t listen to the announcement just now.  I’ll switch it off now,” she says embarrassingly.
“Thank you, miss,” he says and then he goes away checking the other passengers.
“Joong Chan!” she pinches his thigh.
“Ow!  What now?” he pulls her hand away.
“You did that on purpose to embarrass me.  You should have told me when they made the announcement!” Sung Rin is angry.  Joong Chan looks at him innocently.
“You’re very much welcomed, sis.  Be grateful.  At least, he talked to you,” says her brother.  That quiets Sung Rin.  What Joong Chan says is true.  At least he speaks to her.  That would be one good memory of the holiday.
“Well, thanks then.  But, if you do it again, I swear I will kill you,” says Sung Rin.  Joong Chan rolls his eyes.

“Attention to passengers, we will now serve you your ordered meal,” the flight attendance makes an announcement.
A few seconds after that, the stewards and stewardesses start to push the trolleys to serve the passengers who had pre-ordered their meal online.  Guys and girls in red, black and white uniform are busy working, giving their best service to the passengers of the flight.
Sung Rin steals a few looks at Myung Soo.  Her heart jumps once in a while when she sees him smiling.  She wants him to come nearer to her place and she wants to ask for his service.  However, she feels like she has no strength to do it.
“Mr. Kim!” she hears Joong Chan calling when the steward gets near them.  Sung Rin looks at Joong Chan, fear of what Joong Chan would do again.
“I need a glass of water,” he says.
“I’ll serve you in a while, sir.  I have to serve the ordered meal for other passengers first,” says Myung Soo politely.
“I’m sorry.  I can wait.  It’s okay,” says Joong Chan.  With that, the steward continues his job in serving the others passengers.
“So, how was it, sis?  Did you take a quite long stare at him?” he asks.
“My God!  Joong Chan, you are one hell of a brother!” she shouts.  Luckily, it is not enough for the whole flight to hear.
“I know that I’m really a good brother.  I help my sister a lot to get a sneak peek on that guy’s face,” Joong Chan mutters under his breath.
Sung Rin shakes her head and looks at Joong Chan disbelievingly.  Joong Chan needs a tutorial on how to be a good brother, really, she thinks.  Sung Rin sighs loudly, as a sign that she hates what Joong Chan is doing and ignores her brother completely.  But, that is not for long.  A while later, her favourite steward comes again and serves Joong Chan a glass of water.
“This is your water, sir.  I’m sorry for taking quite a while,” he says.
“It’s not a big deal,” Joong Chan says.
“Miss, is there anything I can get for you?” his voice rings like a jingle in her head and it takes her quite a while to process the information in her brain.
“Urm…hot chocolate.  Please,” she says nervously.  He nods and mixes the hot chocolate on the trolley.  Then, he gives the cup to her.
“Have a good day, miss,” he says before he goes to other seats, serving other passengers.
“I’m sure the hot chocolate taste very good,” says her brother.  She rolls her eyes.
“Why?  Because your water tastes horrible?” she asks.
“The water tastes good as well.  Because it was served by dear brother-in-law,” he takes another sip of the water, “Nyum.  Nyum.”
“Good, then!  Drink your water and don’t you dare messing with my life anymore,” says Sung Rin.  Joong Chan raises both his hands.
“Oooh…scary sister.  I won’t,” he says, but then gives her a wink.
Feeling angry, she sips her hot chocolate.  She really hopes that it will help her anger goes away but when she thinks again, she in not angry.  She is definitely thankful for what Joong Chan had done, but she feels it is embarrassing that her feelings are so crystal clear to Joong Chan.

The flight from Korea to Malaysia is about five hours.  And it will be another two and a half hour before they land at Kuala Lumpur International Airport.  Sung Rin feels like she needs to use the lavatory.  She looks at Joong Chan, who busied himself with movies.  Since he ignores her, she just walks passed him and make her way to the lavatory.
She does what she is supposed to do and then looks at her reflection in the mirror.  Satisfied with her look, she opens the door and a face she had been looking to since just now appears in front on her.  She looks straight to his face and she forgets for a moment that she is still in the lavatory.
“Miss, I think there is another passenger wants to use the lavatory,” says him.
Sung Rin shakes her head.
“Oh, yes.  Sorry,” she says and walks out of it straight to her seat, feeling so embarrassed by the incident.
“What took you so long?” Joong Chan asks.
“Nothing,” she says.  Joong Chan shrugs it off and resumes watching the movie.
For a while, she feels bored.  She doesn’t like the movies listed in the catalogue.  And she thinks that she doesn’t want to listen to any music.  But, she swears she doesn’t have anything to do, especially when she is thousands of feet above the ground.
But, then suddenly the Kim Myung Soo comes again and with a cup of milk tea in his hand.  She stops right beside their seat.  Joong Chan looks at him, wondering if she had ordered anything, but she looks at him just as blankly.
“Milk tea, for you, miss,” he says politely.
“But…I didn’t make any order,” she says.  But, the guy insists on giving the tea to her.  She takes it questioningly, but the guy leaves as soon as she takes the tea from his hand.
“You ordered something?  When?  Was it when you went to the lavatory?” Joong Chan asks, with a confuse face.  He is quite sure her sister didn’t make any order.
“No, I didn’t make any.  You know, it might be for the other passenger,” she says, still questioning on her right to take the tea.
“But, he seems so sure that it is for you.  Are you really sure you didn’t order anything from any steward or stewardess?” asks him.
“I’m hundred per cent sure, Joong Chan,” she says.
“Well, that seems suspicious then,” he says, while looking intensely at the milk tea.  Sung Rin stares at the cup as well.
“I don’t think I have the right to drink this,” she says.  Joong Chan stares at it for a few seconds before he speaks again.
“Nah…I think it is okay for you to drink it.  If it is meant for other passenger, they could just make another one.  And I think it is safe to drink that.  Not that he wants to poison you for anything.  He looks too good for something as lethal as that,” says Joong Chan, confirming it.
Sung Rin tries the tea, and it tastes so good.  She is about to take another sip when suddenly her brother adds.
“But, still.  That seems suspicious,” he says.
“What?” she asks.
“Gimme that,” he takes the cup from her sister and examines it.  He raises the cup a little higher and looks at the bottom of the cup.  He smiles so wide after.
“No wonder…” he says, “He has his eyes on you too,” says Joong Chan while giving back the drink to his sister.
“What?” Sung Rin asks again.
“Finish your tea first and look underneath the cup.  And be happy,” he says.
Sung Rin does what her brother says.  She finishes the tea, patiently, sip by sip.  When the tea is all consumed, she looks underneath the cup.  There are an email address and a phone number.
“What is this?” she asks, shockingly.
“I don’t know,” her brother shrugs, “A way for you guys to keep in touch?  Maybe?”
Sung Rin smiles to herself when the puzzles seem to be solved by itself in her mind.   She saves the email address and the phone number, and she presses the button to call the steward.
That is definitely something she likes to deal with.
